“Culture and the Black Pudding “ Antitheses and Polysemy in Translation

The following paper discusses four translatology cases, to be more precise – use of polisemous words with more than one meaning actualized in the original text. Further focus is placed on the solutions of the translator. The study also highlights the importance of connotative meaning in literary translation.
