Word Creation in Computer-Mediated Communication

The aim of the paper is to present some new words used in bg-mamma forums platform. These words are a result of the two main linguistic principles of the informal CMC (computer-mediated communication) – the tendencies to the lexical economy and language expressiveness.

The most typical means for the new word invention are observed – abbreviation, composition, word shortening, suffixation, etc. Some of the most expressive suffix uses and their function in the texts are discussed as well.
