Dialect Characteristics of the Oration about Prophet Daniel in the Raykovo Damaskin

The article examines the lexical features of the Oration about Prophet Daniel from the Raykovo damaskin – а manuscript dating from the Revival in the Central Rhodope area, – establishes the presence of vocabulary typical for western Bulgarian dialects and offers a tentative explanation for its existence in the text.
