Speech act and convention: a kind of apologys in modern Bulgarian

The article is focused on the description of the so called conventional apologies in Bulgarian. A typology of the situations where they are used is traced out. Observations on the cultural specificity of the conventional apologies and on the influence of social factors on the interlocutors’ behaviour are also done.
