The article examines a number of terms from Bulgarian funeral rituals, which contain the metaphor of “travel”. Some of them are euphemisms for traveller: пътник, пътница, пътничка, пътнина. Others are euphemisms for “travelling” or verbs for movement: запътвам (се), изгубвам (се), отивам (си), etc.
