The paper examines some difficulties which native Bulgarian speakers have when use a non-finite verb form – deeprichastie. Compared to English gerund, Bulgarian deeprichastie has more narrow meaning: it is a non-finite verb form, which can be used only in order to mark that an action occurs at the same time when the main action occurs, and its subject must coincide with the subject of the verb. Due to insufficient prescriptions the deeprichastie is often misused. Examples of ambiguity due to misuses are discussed.
