The article investigates the peculiarities of the formation, use and meanings of the forms for past tense in the speech of the inhabitants of three settlements in South Kosovo. They are associated with the westernmost part of the Bulgarian dialect continuum according to their basic language characteristics. The widening of the use of past perfect tense as well as the existence of specific forms of future tense in the past and conditional is described.
